Tamboerskloof is a smallish neighbourhood of Cape Town that forms part of the group of suburbs referred to as the City Bowl. It lies on the slopes of Lion's Head and Signal Hill, next to Gardens and Bo-Kaap.  It is a sought after area because it backs onto the National Park on the lower slopes of Lion’s Head and Signal Hill, and is sheltered from the wind off the Atlantic Ocean. Vredehoek

Vredehoek, when directly translated, means “corner of peace" or "peace corner”.  It is a suburb of Cape located in the City Bowl and sits on the slopes of Table Mountain between Devil’s Peak Estate and Oranjezicht. This suburb was proclaimed after the first world war and expatriates from many European countries settled here after peace was declared.
